Wagon Haulage Systems
The Trainload Wagon Haulage System is basically an endless rope haulage driven in either direction by a winch unit through a series of pulleys with the rope attached to either end of the wagon mover (i.e. either TROLLEY (Mule) or BUFFER wagon).
Trainload can design a complete system tailored to your requirements, with two options of either a full turnkey package, to include design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and training or supply only.
Trainload have been pleased to supply some of the world leaders in the oil business with haulage systems, some of these installations which were installed over 35 years ago are still in operation today. With reliability being the main feature of our equipment, we have been favoured with several commissions from these companies in the UK and also worldwide. The haulage system can also be used in other applications, such as mining, for the haulage of mining wagons or for docks, where there is a requirement for the pulling of vessels out of the water for repairs or maintenance.
Both electric and compressed air drives supplied up to 185kw (250HP) can be supplied.
Trainload also has the facility to refurbish old winch systems, which can be undertaken by our specialist engineers.
The Basic design is one of functionality, which provides for a pulley system attached to the wagon or cargo needed to be moved. A winch attaches to the pulley and pushes or pulls the wagon or cargo into position.
Car pullers tend to be the American term and are also used in many overseas countries.
Haulages are the term generally used by the mining industry and tends to be more common in the UK.
Both terms refer to fixed lineside equipment, which moves trains along a given section of track, usually by means of a wire rope system.

- SAFETY - Primary and secondary safety features are considered throughout our design such that in the event of breakdown or malfunction, then the equipment will "Fail Safe".
