Environmental Policies

As a Rail Loading Specialists,Trainload Limited is a company that prides itself on being well respected around the world in this specialised field. The job we do is our visit card. We measure our success by personal recommendation from client to client and how often our clients ask for us to work for them again - both are happening more and more often, year on year, as our reputation grows for taking all of our responsibilities seriously. Not least amongst these responsibilities is the need to protect the health and safety of our own employees, those we work with and of others who might be affected by what we do. That means we must respect the environment in local and in far wider terms as well.

Our products are specialised and the locations we work in are almost always high hazard locations and that means to control the risks that could occur and make these as low as is reasonably practicable we must be organised, we must be competent and we must know when to get specialist help or assistance. We accept that challenge and that responsibility and we will strive for an injury free and a safe working environment in our offices and workshops and out on site wherever we are working. We will do all that is reasonably practicable to protect the safety and the health of ourselves and of others and to protect the environment.

Protecting the environment is more than just preventing waste and recovering or recycling materials - we do that already. It is about respect and looking for opportunities to reduce disturbance to others as far as we can, taking account of the difficult nature of some of the work we have to do often in close proximity to others. We believe that each place we work should be all the better for us having been there, and having done what we are good at doing.

We will cooperate with clients and occupiers and we expect cooperation from subcontractors and suppliers in return. We will make clear from the outset that anyone who will not or who cannot help us to make our sites as free from risk as is reasonably practicable is not welcome. Our reputation is important to us and we will strive to safeguard it just as we strive to safeguard those who come to rely on us.

We are open to comments and advice from others, including our workforce and subcontractors. As a minimum we will comply with health, safety and environmental legislation, however we want to do better than that where we can, and accordingly we will look for opportunities to improve our performance.

Organisation

Trainload Limited was established in 1963 and has been designing safe, economic and cost effective solutions for their clients worldwide for over 42 years. Based in the UK, the company designs and supplies wagon haulage systems and other train loading related systems for a wide range of industries around the world. Trainload Limited has an excellent record for delivering the precise solution to each client's requirements and for doing so in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

The organisation behind this success relies on precise but simple designs, effective and reliable manufacture and installation and clear communications at all levels. That is achieved by a small team of experienced specialists working directly with each other and with the Managing Director. Clear communications are particularly important between members of this team, with subcontractors and suppliers and above all with our clients.

Within this tight knit structure health, safety and environmental issues are relatively easy to manage either by design provisions and checks or by planning and supervision of manufacture, installation and commissioning activities. An organisation chart is attached.
